Sandstone Ruin

Drone Conservation Assessment

Restore Conservation Services was engaged to undertake a detailed conservation assessment of a heritage sandstone ruin that had become structurally unstable. Due to safety concerns, on-site physical inspection was not possible, prompting the use of drone imagery to document the condition of the ruin without direct contact.

High-resolution drone imagery was captured across the site, enabling us to assess areas that were otherwise inaccessible. From this data, we created an accurate 3D model of the structure, allowing for close analysis of material condition, areas of deterioration, and structural vulnerabilities.
